Скачал FPC 2.0.0 и KOL к нему по ссылкам отсюда: http://members.chello.nl/t.koning8/fpc_in_kol_proper.htm На странице говорится, что размер скомпилированного модуля должен быть около 40кб, у меня же получается около 180кб. Если компилирую без KOL, просто MessageBox из Windows.pas - около 250кб. На изменение параметров командной строки компилятор никак не реагирует.

Буду признателен за любую информацию, способную помочь мне разобраться со всем этим "безобразием", так как сейчас я практически ничего не представляю о внутренней структуре и взаимодействии модулей в FPC. Хотелось бы подробней разобраться в данном вопросе, надеюсь на вашу помощь :)

p.s. По офсайтам ходил, но так ничего полезного для себя не нашёл..

Спасибо, вроде более-менее разобрался, сейчас - 27Кб (без KOL).
Теперь буду продолжать изучение :)

If you do hardcore programming, indeed the size is even smaller, but KOL is a real object oriented framework, like the JCL.
I will give support on using KOL + FPC2, also through email. So, if you have more questions about the combination I will always try to answer them, either here or through email. Questions maybe written in Russian (I can read it a bit, even without Babelfish) but answers will be in English, German, Dutch or French (whatever you prefer)

The size isn't the most important criterion for me. I tried to use KOL, but that experience was not successful enough because I found this framework a bit comlicated especially without any documentation (btw, does any documentation for KOL exist?). Now I'm choosing between KOL and WinAPI and without information about features and strong points of KOL I can't do my choice. So any useful information will be helpful for me and appreciated.

KOL contains full documentation in Russian and English inside the sourcecode. Thos documentation can be pulled from the sourcecode into HTML files using the tool:
http://delphikol.narod.ru/progs/xHelpGenCm.zip and there are lot's of articles in Russian and English available from the official KOL wensite and the KOL forum on this website.
